Responsibilities

  • Create new services and customer-facing applications for digital banking.
  • Model and design API interfaces and develop highly scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs.
  • Design reusable code structures and maintain software through the full development lifecycle.
  • Ensure code quality through automated unit and functional testing.
  • Automate development pipeline processes and identify efficiency and time-to-market improvements.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
  • Collaborate within an Agile product team with technical, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and practice peer programming with other developers.
  • Support production-level software and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
  • Research and apply new technologies to current and future challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Java 8+ and Spring Framework/Spring Boot and/or NodeJS.
  • 5+ years of experience developing distributed cloud applications using technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, or Docker.
  • 3+ years of JavaScript experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs and interface specifications such as Swagger, RAML, and SOAP.
  • Experience with DevOps pipelines and tools including Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with continuous integration/delivery, automated unit, functional, and performance testing.
  • Experience with security gateways and protocols including JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL certificates.
  • Experience with professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, and testing.
  • Experience with Git branching and merging methodologies and software release processes.
  • Working knowledge of web application architectures and frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Experience supporting production-level software using Splunk or Dynatrace.
  • Strong abstraction, problem-solving, communication, and plain-language explanation skills.
  • Preferred experience with object-oriented coding, design patterns, refactoring, clean code, Kafka, MySQL, non-relational databases, caching, BDD, TDD, MongoDB, Redis, algorithm optimization, large-scale systems, parallel or distributed systems, RDBMS, scale-out repositories, message-driven architectures, and microservice design.
