Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BSPs for Qualcomm, NXP, and Renesas automotive cockpit SoCs, including boot, clock-tree, and peripheral initialization.
- Integrate automotive display drivers using MIPI DSI, HDMI, eDP, Open LDI, DRM/KMS, and QNX Screen API.
- Develop audio BSPs and integrate I2S/TDM codec drivers, ALSA ASoC, Android audio HAL, and multi-channel PCM streams.
- Configure Linux and Yocto/OpenEmbedded systems, including device trees, power management, and memory layout.
- Integrate GPU drivers and graphics stacks using OpenGL ES, Vulkan, and hardware composer for multi-display rendering.
- Customize AOSP/AAOS system images, vendor partitions, init scripts, HAL loading, SELinux policies, and build configurations.
- Develop and validate U-Boot and UEFI bootloader integration, fastboot, Android Verified Boot, and secure boot.
- Integrate Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, and other cockpit ECU connectivity stacks.
- Debug platform issues using UART, JTAG, logcat, ADB, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Document BSP integration, HAL designs, platform configurations, and ASPICE bring-up checklists.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of overall experience is stated, with at least 4 years of digital cockpit or automotive infotainment experience additionally required.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Automotive Engineering, with 15 years of full-time education.
- Proficiency in embedded C and C++ for Linux and Android SoC BSP development.
- Experience with Yocto Project/OpenEmbedded, meta-layer development, and recipe authoring.
- Knowledge of Android HAL development, including HIDL/AIDL, HAL implementation, and vendor partitions.
- Familiarity with Linux device-driver development covering DRM/KMS, ALSA/ASoC, V4L2, I2C, SPI, and GPIO.
- Experience with AOSP, Soong/Ninja, and Android system-image customization.
- Understanding of MIPI DSI, eDP, HDMI, and DRM/KMS display-driver architecture.
- Experience with U-Boot, device-tree overlays, and secure-boot implementation.
- Experience with Qualcomm SA8xxx or NXP i.MX 8 cockpit SoC bring-up and BSP customization is preferred.
- Familiarity with Adreno, Vivante, or PowerVR GPU integration and QNX 8.x BSP development is preferred.
- Exposure to SOME/IP, DDS, FastBoot, Android Verified Boot, and DM-Verity is preferred.
