Responsibilities
- Build and deliver Cards API features addressing partner onboarding, liquidity optimization, fraud prevention, and card analytics.
- Design and maintain resilient, scalable microservices, event-driven architectures, relational databases, and APIs.
- Own projects end to end, including problem definition, solution shaping, delivery, rollout, measurement, and future roadmap planning.
- Maintain system availability, reliability, security, observability, testability, and technical quality.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, engineers, and other functions to determine what to build and achieve team goals.
- Own the technical roadmap and deliverables for projects while communicating complex technical concepts to different audiences.
Requirements
- Strong experience building microservices, event-driven architectures, relational databases, and well-designed APIs.
- Ability to design and build resilient and scalable systems.
- Commitment to maintainable, well-tested software, predictable delivery, effective observability, and proactive technical debt management.
- Strong product mindset with a focus on customer and partner outcomes and simple, well-documented APIs.
- Independent, self-starting, accountable, and collaborative approach with strong adaptable communication.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka is preferred.
- Experience building a finance API is preferred.
- Experience in the card payments domain as an issuer or acquirer is preferred.
