Responsibilities
- Build and own complex product solutions end-to-end, from conception through deployment and maintenance.
- Design scalable backend services with NestJS and Node.js, frontend experiences with Next.js and React, and data models with MongoDB.
- Design, deploy, and operate reliable cloud-native solutions in Azure.
- Build and consume APIs while integrating internal and external systems and guiding cross-team integrations.
- Own deployments, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and production application maintenance.
- Drive code quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Monitor systems, optimize performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and make architectural decisions for scalability.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and lead technical discussions and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience delivering end-to-end software solutions and driving technical excellence.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, or experience with other modern languages and willingness to learn the stack.
- Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and system architecture; Microsoft Azure experience is a strong plus.
- Strong experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, including schema design and optimization.
- Proven experience building and consuming APIs and leading cross-team integrations.
- Experience owning projects from conception through deployment and maintenance.
- Strong commitment to code quality, testing strategies, and scalable systems.
- Experience mentoring or leading other engineers.
- Experience with Next.js and NestJS is preferred.
- Experience with Terraform or Pulumi, CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, and containerization or orchestration with Docker or Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and high-scale system architecture is preferred.
