Base Salary
$150k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance API applications using the Phalcon PHP framework.
- Monitor applications and improve speed, scalability, performance, and efficiency.
- Write clean, maintainable code and create code comments, project documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Design database schemas, use Phalcon’s ORM, and optimize database queries.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, bug resolution, and other activities supporting application reliability and stability.
- Use Git and collaborate with development, frontend, third-party integration, and project management teams.
- Deliver scalable API solutions that meet project requirements and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Proven Phalcon or PHP development experience, with willingness to learn Phalcon where needed.
- Proficiency with PHP and PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript and Angular, plus familiarity with MVC architecture, microservices, and RESTful API development and consumption.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, independent-work, and deadline-management skills.
- Experience with Laravel or Symfony, React, and large-scale online payment systems is a plus.
