Responsibilities

  • Design and develop core software infrastructure for Nutanix distributed clusters.
  • Build extensible software for massively distributed infrastructure with many nodes and millions of entities.
  • Design clean software interfaces and APIs for integration with other components.
  • Apply distributed-systems principles including CAP theorem and PACELC in virtualized environments.
  • Collaborate with teams across the system software stack and communicate technical designs and viewpoints.

Requirements

  • Excellent design and coding skills in at least one of Python, C++, or Go, with Python preferred.
  • Two to 3.5 years of industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate on broad problems spanning multiple teams.
  • Ability to understand designs and requirements and translate them into code.
  • Understanding of hypervisors such as ESXi, KVM, or Hyper-V is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, agile environment.
