Responsibilities
- Build GenAI tools and AI agents, including RAG pipelines, contextual embedding systems, and MCP tool servers.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines into Apache Iceberg using Apache Airflow.
- Build semantic search capabilities with vector databases and hosted embedding models.
- Create self-service ingestion APIs for partner teams onboarding to the platform.
- Design microservices and backend APIs, with opportunities to contribute to React/TypeScript production interfaces.
- Instrument systems with OpenTelemetry and contribute to anomaly detection capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across Pune, Dublin, London, and New York.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience in production environments.
- Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Interest or experience in data engineering, including pipelines, batch processing, or data lake technologies.
- Understanding of distributed systems and service architecture.
- Interest in AI/ML, particularly LLMs, RAG, or embedding-based search.
- Experience with Apache Iceberg, PyArrow, data lake engineering, Apache Airflow, vector databases, embedding models, semantic search, anomaly detection, data quality frameworks, MCP, A2A, observability tooling, or financial data is preferred.
