Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, delivery, and ongoing evolution of core platform capabilities.
- Drive technical decisions, platform architecture, and modernization roadmaps.
- Develop backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for solution exploration, code optimization, and review.
- Mentor engineers and guide responsible AI-assisted development practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams on technical solutions.
- Operate the platform in production through monitoring, incident response, and production support.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a lead backend engineer with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes/GKE running and supporting production workloads.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
- Experience leading platform modernization and technical direction efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers across a team.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and critically validating their outputs for correctness, security, and maintainability.
