Responsibilities
- Architect, provision, and maintain modular AWS infrastructure with Terraform or AWS CDK across multiple environments.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and GitOps engines such as Argo CD.
- Manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or Amazon ECS, including image builds and cluster scaling.
- Implement observability with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana, and define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Integrate vulnerability scanning, centralized identity, RBAC, and secrets management into delivery workflows.
- Develop automation and internal tools with Python, boto3, or Go, including backup and disaster-recovery validation.
- Monitor cloud consumption and implement resource-optimization and automated-scaling policies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise systems on AWS.
- Deep operational experience with Terraform or AWS CDK, including state management or module design.
- Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience, including Amazon EKS or AWS ECS and Helm templating.
- Extensive experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, linting, security scanning, and artifact management.
- Proficiency in Python with boto3 or Go, along with Bash scripting and Linux experience.
- Experience implementing logging, metrics, and tracing platforms and designing structured on-call incident response.
- Experience with GitOps workflows using Argo CD or Flux is preferred.
- Familiarity with Open Policy Agent/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, or Checkov is preferred.
- Understanding of MLOps infrastructure using Kubeflow or AWS SageMaker is preferred.
- Experience operating OpenSearch or Elasticsearch clusters at scale is preferred.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, or another cloud certification is preferred.
