Responsibilities
- Define solution architecture, technical standards, design principles, and technology roadmaps for enterprise applications.
- Lead architecture and design discussions across product, engineering, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Architect and develop cloud-native enterprise solutions using Java, Spring Boot, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
- Design scalable APIs, service contracts, integration patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, design reviews, mentorship, and escalation support to engineering teams.
- Architect AI-powered business applications using Palantir Foundry, Palantir AIP, Ontology, Workshop, and related AI frameworks.
- Design and integrate Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, and AI workflow capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Lead proofs of concept, innovation initiatives, architecture spikes, technical evaluations, and emerging-technology assessments.
- Define cloud, deployment, monitoring, CI/CD, observability, operational, security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Design database architectures and data models using PostgreSQL, including schema migrations, query optimization, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
- Design messaging and event-driven solutions using Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or similar technologies.
- Support legacy modernization and migration from monolithic systems to microservices-based architectures.
- Provide architectural leadership and technical decision-making across complex enterprise technology initiatives.
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, and enterprise application architecture.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Java applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, service discovery, API gateways, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous communication.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, enterprise integrations, service contracts, software patterns, and application architectures.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating monolithic systems to microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, Palantir AIP, Ontology, and Workshop.
- Experience delivering AI-powered enterprise applications and integrating Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, and AI/LLM capabilities.
- Experience with technical feasibility studies, POCs, architecture spikes, emerging technology evaluations, and innovation initiatives.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience, including data modeling, schema design, migrations, stored procedures, functions, triggers, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience defining data integration and data governance approaches.
- Understanding of AWS and/or Azure cloud architectures and experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience supporting CI/CD implementations using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or similar messaging technologies.
- Strong cloud architecture, solution design, consulting, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, architectural leadership, and technical decision-making skills.
