Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable virtual platforms for MCU, MPU, and SoC products.
- Lead integration of virtual hardware, firmware, operating systems, and development tools.
- Enable pre-silicon software development, debugging, validation, and testing.
- Build reusable platform, automation, and CI/CD frameworks across product programs.
- Drive cloud-based deployment and Renesas 365 enablement for virtual platforms.
- Collaborate across modeling, firmware, verification, tools, and cloud teams.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience in embedded software development and architecture, with advanced proficiency in C/C++, Python, and MCU/MPU-based systems.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership across complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives and translate system-level requirements into scalable software architectures.
- Strong understanding of embedded operating systems, BSP/FSP, device drivers, development tools, debugging, validation, and software integration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with virtual platforms, SystemC modeling, or simulation-based software development and validation.
- Preferred familiarity with RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS.
- Preferred experience establishing reusable software, validation, and automation frameworks across MCU/MPU or SoC programs.
- Preferred knowledge of automated regression testing, Linux development environments, containers, and cloud-native development infrastructure.
- Preferred experience with build, debug, trace, performance profiling, simulation, remote development environments, pre-silicon software development, or firmware integration with virtual hardware and modeling environments.
