Responsibilities
- Optimize the computational performance of recommendation platform models for training and inference.
- Design and develop high-performance general-purpose and business-customized kernel libraries, including computation and communication parallelism.
- Develop model compilation optimizations involving graph optimization, kernel fusion, computation scheduling, and code generation.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks, diagnose issues, and provide full-stack optimization solutions with business and algorithm teams.
- Build reusable performance optimization components, toolchains, and platform capabilities for internal businesses.
Requirements
- Completing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computing or a related discipline.
- Experience developing and optimizing with model compilation stacks such as TVM, MLIR, or XLA.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with assembly, CPU/GPU architecture, and cache mechanisms, including practical high-performance kernel development.
- Understanding of deep learning framework internals, computational graphs, training and inference execution, and model graph or compiler optimization.
- Ability to independently decompose problems, troubleshoot performance issues, and resolve complex optimization bottlenecks.
- Preferred: experience with joint hardware-software design, heterogeneous computing, open-source deep learning kernels, compilers, inference engines, or deep architectural work in TensorFlow, PyTorch, MxNet, or similar frameworks.
