Responsibilities
- Design and build a core agent framework that hosts capabilities, orchestrates subtasks, and integrates with human workflows.
- Define reusable agent skill contracts covering API design, versioning, and composability.
- Build evaluation infrastructure to measure agent quality and detect regressions in nondeterministic outputs.
- Help agents locate relevant records and context using structured queries, catalogs, and semantic search.
- Ship secure, optimized, production-grade software using modern engineering practices and AI development tools.
- Maintain shared system context containing system designs, constraints, and standards for reliable AI operation.
- Review human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed backend systems.
- Experience with API design, versioning, and systems used by multiple teams.
- Strong skills in at least one modern programming language and experience shipping production code.
- Ability to reason about ambiguous large-scale systems and communicate technical tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor in engineering work.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and ability to create precise, structured prompts and reliable system context.
- Related technical degree.
- Preferred experience with AI agents, LLM-based systems, evaluation infrastructure, semantic search, structured data catalogs, or migrating purpose-built automation into composable APIs.
