Responsibilities
- Design, develop, unit test, peer review, document, and maintain SAP ABAP applications.
- Provide technical development and production support for SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA systems during a brownfield migration.
- Develop advanced CDS views, S/4HANA programs and functions, ABAP enhancements, integrations, and performance optimizations.
- Monitor system operations, conduct capacity and root cause analysis, troubleshoot production issues, and recommend stability improvements.
- Collaborate with functional users, business teams, enterprise architecture, and technology teams to analyze requirements and recommend technical solutions.
- Support project planning, task estimation, application capability roadmaps, development standards, and change control procedures.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in SAP ABAP development, software engineering, systems engineering, software architecture, or a related field.
- Required productive-environment experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Expertise with ABAP Workbench, ABAP Objects, BAPI, BADI, IDocs, BDC, and ALV programming.
- Strong hands-on experience with advanced CDS view development and design, ABAP coding techniques, work processes, parallel processing, interface and enhancement techniques, DDIC, and ABAP tuning.
- Experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, Web IDE, ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse, and ABAP Managed Database Procedures.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, performance optimization, business process modeling, application design patterns, and functional documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Current SAP certification and a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field are preferred.
