Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex enterprise-scale applications across front-end, back-end, integration, and data layers.
- Define engineering standards, coding practices, architectural principles, and technology selection approaches.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Build APIs, microservices, event-driven solutions, cloud-native applications, and database integrations.
- Ensure operational stability through observability, monitoring, performance tuning, and production support.
- Participate in Agile planning, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, estimation, and execution.
- Champion DevSecOps, automated testing, infrastructure as code, software quality, security, and delivery efficiency.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders and communicate technical solutions and delivery risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to governance forums, technical design reviews, risk management, compliance, and security standards.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical coaching, and promote innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Extensive full stack software engineering experience in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong back-end development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Experience designing and building APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle and Mongo.
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitLab, JIRA, SonarQube, Prisma, Wiz, and Maven or Gradle.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, automated testing, software quality engineering, and delivery pipelines.
- Experience with event-streaming technologies such as Kafka and message queues.
- Experience using AI models such as Claude and GitLab Duo for rapid application development.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, object-oriented design, and data structures.
- Experience with corporate banking or payments technology, high-volume transaction processing, real-time integration platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes is highly valued.
