Responsibilities
- Lead strategic data architecture and database design discussions with customers.
- Drive and oversee workload analysis, performance benchmarking, and troubleshooting in customer environments.
- Explain deep technical database concepts clearly to customers.
- Influence the Amazon Redshift engineering roadmap based on customer needs.
- Conduct proofs of concept with customers in competitive situations.
- Use coding or scripting to automate tasks and improve workload analysis mechanisms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of database or data warehouse internals, including relational database design and distributed database or MPP architectures.
- Strong customer communication and technical discussion skills.
- Software development experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are preferred.
