Responsibilities
- Design software solutions and contribute to software designs.
- Develop microservices solutions for complex, multi-network environments.
- Conduct independent research and develop solutions to technical problems.
- Collaborate with systems engineering on technical issues.
- Debug software for near-real-time simulation environments.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience; Electrical or Systems Engineering with software experience is also accepted.
- At least seven years of software engineering experience, including object-oriented design and programming with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
- Experience developing web applications with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, REST APIs, HTTP, and SignalR.
- Experience with client-server and networking protocols including SNMP, WebSockets, and TCP.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
- Strong technical communication skills.
- Eligibility for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes CQRS, distributed systems, Akka, highly available and fault-tolerant systems, RabbitMQ, Vue.js, Angular, application integration, and military systems and standards.
