Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate UDS environments across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
- Create custom UDS packages and application-specific modules using Terraform and OpenTofu.
- Own platform uptime, troubleshoot complex issues, meet SLA commitments, and provide on-call support.
- Serve as the primary technical interface for customers through onboarding, architecture guidance, production support, and training.
- Create training documentation and deliver remote and on-site customer training sessions.
- Gather customer and community feedback and translate it into product and engineering improvements.
- Analyze operational and usage data to improve delivery strategies and processes.
- Define onboarding, deployment, support, training, and delivery playbooks as the practice scales.
- Mentor new hires and help establish technical standards and team culture.
- Help design new service packages, training programs, and delivery models.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role focused on system architecture and development.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid-cloud architectures, including networking, RBAC, and storage for cloud and on-premises clusters.
- Hands-on experience with Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or on-premises Kubernetes such as RKE2, K3s, or OpenShift.
- Experience with Helm, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or OpenTofu for infrastructure and cluster lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines running on GitLab or GitHub.
- Ability to provide customer-facing architecture guidance, production support, and platform expertise.
- Strong analytical, communication, independent-working, and remote-team collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel for on-site training and support.
- DoD IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, is required.
- DoD Secret or higher security clearance is preferred but not required.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
