Base Salary
$105k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Molecular Platform software components and backend services.
- Build APIs, data-ingestion and processing components, workflow integrations, automation, and operational tooling.
- Translate customer workflows and feedback into software features and product improvements.
- Write maintainable, secure, and well-tested production code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Build unit, integration, functional, performance, and resilience tests.
- Add logging, metrics, telemetry, health checks, monitoring, and alerts to improve observability.
- Investigate defects, incidents, and production service issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
- Automate deployment, configuration, testing, and routine service-operations tasks.
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, engineering planning, and reusable solutions across customers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software-development experience delivering production software or services.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Go, Python, C++, C#, or similar.
- Experience with backend applications, cloud-native services, distributed systems, data-processing applications, or workflow systems.
- Ability to independently deliver well-scoped features and components with guidance on broader design and prioritization.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, containers, and cloud services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, distributed data systems, event-driven architectures, or workflow orchestration.
- Preferred exposure to data engineering, data platforms, scientific data, data pipelines, metadata management, data governance, AI/ML platforms, model serving, RAG, evaluation harnesses, AI agents, MCP, or enterprise AI integrations.
- Preferred experience supporting scientific, research, life-sciences, or enterprise platform workloads.

- The U.S. hiring range is $104,500 to $234,600 per annum, with possible bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
