Base Salary
$190k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own OLTP database systems for clinical and operational applications.
- Define best practices for data access and ORM strategy in Python/Django services.
- Set direction for database operations including uptime, capacity, and incident response.
- Lead the development of transactional data models for operational systems.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, and other standards in data architecture.
- Support the data lake and analytics handoff as a minor responsibility.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Aurora.
- Strong experience in building backend data layers for web applications in Python.
- Expert-level data modeling for transactional workloads, especially in healthcare.
- Proven leadership in database engineering and operational excellence.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with healthcare data compliance and standards.
