Responsibilities
- Design, develop, improve, and deliver high-quality mainframe software solutions.
- Write scalable, maintainable, secure, and performance-optimized code using aligned programming languages and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, knowledge sharing, and technology communities.
- Manage risks, strengthen controls, and contribute to governance, policy, and operational effectiveness.
- Lead or guide complex assignments and communicate analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience with COBOL, JCL, IMD-DB, DB2, and VSAM.
- Knowledge of z/OS Connect API is highly valued.
- Functional banking knowledge is highly valued.
- Ability to perform complex analysis, influence stakeholders, collaborate across functions, and address risk and control requirements.
