Responsibilities

  • Design, define, and facilitate solution architecture spanning business, processes, technology, data, and people.
  • Build proofs of concept and reference implementations, pair with developers, and contribute to code and technical specification reviews.
  • Own integration points between ERP, legacy, front-end, back-end, and satellite systems while identifying delivery risks.
  • Maintain reference architecture for external-facing applications, including API design, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.
  • Define architecture patterns, guardrails, and evaluation standards for AI-enabled solutions and AI-assisted development.
  • Establish infrastructure non-functional requirements and ensure adherence to organizational architectural standards.
  • Resolve complex infrastructure and development issues through pragmatic technical designs.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and target- and transition-state plans.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, business leaders, sponsors, stakeholders, and external vendors on solution designs and roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational efficiency through modern patterns and technologies.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in software engineering and solution architecture with sustained hands-on delivery.
  • Expertise with architecture modeling frameworks and languages such as UML.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Business, Data, Application, Technology, and Security architecture disciplines.
  • Deep expertise in .NET, SQL, and relational database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Proficiency with integration and automation technologies including APIs, ETL, RPA, workflow automation, business rules engines, and low-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Azure experience and relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Experience supporting an ERP or other enterprise system initiative through implementation, upgrade, or major integration, including exposure to data migration or customization decisions.
  • Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Experience in complex, regulated, or multi-stakeholder environments is an asset.
