Responsibilities
- Translate high-level requirements into detailed technical designs covering architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code according to coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests, including automated testing where applicable.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Document technical specifications, design decisions, and implementation details.
- Partner with Cloud teams to improve the reliability of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with data pipelines is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL is preferred.
- Strong understanding of and experience with production systems is preferred.
- Ability to manage issues and evolving changes in software design, integration, and infrastructure is preferred.
