Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, maintain, and debug SAS 9 middle-tier services and SAS 9.4 solutions.
- Design and develop mid-tier services and REST APIs across the Java ecosystem.
- Resolve customer and technical support issues involving functionality, security, and performance.
- Address customer and security issues across multiple SAS 9 foundation products and services.
- Perform unit, regression, integration, manual, automated, functional, and performance testing.
- Follow applicable security policies and processes supporting secure software development.
- Work with large legacy codebases and contribute to planning and design activities.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong programming skills with Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience with database-centric applications and SQL using PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Knowledge of Ant and Maven build tools.
- Knowledge of security concepts and tools such as Snyk and Black Duck.
- Knowledge of enterprise security applications including IBM Virtual Identity Access, WebSEAL, SiteMinder, and Integrated Windows Authentication.
- Experience with unit, regression, and integration testing in large software portfolios.
- Experience with fast-paced Agile software development methodologies and large legacy codebases.
- Good debugging, logical problem-solving, learning, and technology-adoption skills.
- Understanding of Groovy is an added advantage.
- Experience with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
