Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support machine learning models in a cloud environment.
- Write and review code and contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, Designers, QA, Operations, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate technical outcomes.
- Contribute to the roadmap and delivery of backend API services supporting Disney+ billing, subscriptions, entitlements, orders, invoices, and commerce.
- Participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and other team ceremonies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- Familiarity with Scala or Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with Spark, Hive, or Presto.
- Familiarity with machine learning methods and their application at scale.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Compute, or Microsoft Azure.
