Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug Java applications, services, and components for DAZN’s streaming platform.
- Optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing Java applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding quality standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs.
- Maintain documentation for code and technical designs.
- Keep current with Java technologies, development practices, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 6–8 years of programming experience with Core Java.
- Proven Java development experience, including Java EE or Spring Framework.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web services.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency with Git and Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies is preferred or advantageous.
