Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of customer-facing applications supporting healthcare delivery ordering, tracking, and operations.
- Own major projects end to end, including user flows, UX decisions, architecture, data models, full-stack implementation, launches, and post-launch measurement.
- Build customer feedback loops through direct conversations, analytics, support signals, limited releases, and structured experiments.
- Establish feature flags, beta programs, phased rollouts, and other gradual-release practices.
- Raise standards for frontend UX, interaction patterns, accessibility, product polish, reliability, testing, observability, and engineering practices.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and customer-facing teams to identify and solve high-impact user problems.
- Mentor engineers and help define product-minded technical standards across the team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of production software engineering experience, including staff-level technical scope.
- Deep full-stack experience with modern frontend development using React or a comparable framework and backend development in Go, Python, or a similar language.
- A strong record of building external customer-facing products where UX affects adoption, trust, and business outcomes.
- Demonstrated customer obsession, including direct user engagement, feedback-driven improvements, and advocacy for customer needs.
- Strong independent design and UX judgment without relying on a dedicated designer.
- Experience with limited releases, feature flags, beta programs, experiments, or phased rollouts.
- Experience owning architecture across teams, mentoring engineers, and leading delivery in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- Experience in both rigorous high-engineering-bar organizations and startup or scale-up environments.
- Clear, effective English communication.
- Ability to work from the US East Coast or London, UK, and travel to Africa approximately three times per year.
- Experience with e-commerce, marketplaces, healthcare, fulfillment, logistics, warehouse-management, or supply-chain products is preferred.
- Experience delivering measurable improvements in conversion, activation, retention, customer satisfaction, or usability is preferred.
