Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and senior backend engineers in a cross-functional squad.
- Design backend services and independently implement scalable, high-volume data-processing solutions for fraud detection using TypeScript.
- Build and maintain secure, distributed cloud services in an event-driven microservices architecture.
- Participate in technical grooming, architecture discussions, deployment, monitoring, and production maintenance.
- Deliver increasingly complex backend features and services with growing autonomy and minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Contribute to code reviews, code-quality improvements, testing, stability, and performance initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Practical experience building and maintaining event-driven and microservice architectures, preferably with the Serverless Framework.
- Proficiency with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Docker, and container orchestration platforms including ECS or Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, with Claude Code preferred.
- Ability to take user stories and technical specifications from inception through production release and resolve blockers proactively.
- Strong collaboration, learning, pairing, and communication skills.
