Base Salary

$140k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate connectivity software features across Android, Windows, and embedded platforms, including SDKs, frameworks, and system services.
  • Implement, optimize, and tune wireless networking protocols and sensing algorithms for enterprise-scale architectures and deployments.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot secure, reliable, and low-latency peer-to-peer connectivity technologies.
  • Collaborate with wireless chipset vendors, industry partners, and internal engineering teams on designs, system debugging, and end-to-end connectivity performance.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot wireless performance degradation, QoS bottlenecks, interoperability issues, and security constraints in large-scale networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in device software development, including connectivity features, performance tuning, and debugging.
  • 3+ years of experience developing software SDKs or frameworks on Android, Linux, or similar operating systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C, C++, or Objective-C, with grounding in object-oriented design, debugging, and system-level architecture.
  • Familiarity with 802.11 and Bluetooth radio standards and related protocol stacks.
  • Experience collaborating across hardware, operating system, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Ability to work independently, drive technical tasks to completion, and communicate root-cause findings to senior leadership and partners.
  • Preferred: proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems programming for performance-critical wireless features.
  • Preferred: strong understanding of peer-to-peer technologies and sensing techniques.
  • Preferred: experience working directly with wireless chipset vendors to optimize connectivity and resolve interoperability issues.
  • Preferred: experience across Linux, Windows, embedded systems, cloud-managed networks, and mobile operating system stacks.
  • Preferred: expertise in wireless performance analysis using Wireshark, logging frameworks, and low-level tracing.
