Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Python.
- Implement, troubleshoot, and improve automation solutions for operational efficiency and infrastructure automation.
- Manage and execute automated deployment processes and contribute to continuous deployment practices.
- Analyze technology architecture, system interdependencies, application stacks, and automation requirements.
- Design and maintain reusable automation frameworks and libraries across technology stacks and business lines.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, usage scenarios, and automated validation for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop automated testing for functional, regression, and performance testing and track coverage, defects, resolutions, and mitigation techniques.
- Collaborate with IT, software development, Agile delivery teams, testers, business SMEs, clients, and project management.
- Document automation processes, test cases, debug data, technical specifications, and project outcomes, and provide stakeholder training.
- Evaluate automation tools, recommend improvements, support system troubleshooting, and perform backend/database programming for key projects.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with PowerShell and Python scripting.
- At least 5 to 8 years of experience in scripting and automation; the posting also lists 3–5 years under mandatory infrastructure automation experience.
- Strong understanding of automation principles, practices, architecture, and complex automation scenarios.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems, communicate effectively, and collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Preferred experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
- Preferred knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS, Azure, RPA, and generative AI.
- Preferred previous experience in IT infrastructure or DevOps.
