Responsibilities
- Own, administer, architect, and optimize the enterprise Solace PubSub+ platform across physical appliances and software brokers.
- Tune Solace brokers, message VPNs, queues, topic hierarchies, and client profiles for microsecond-level performance.
- Manage high-availability broker pairs, replication, and Dynamic Message Routing for inter-datacenter distribution.
- Define messaging standards, naming conventions, governance practices, and application onboarding requirements.
- Integrate global trading applications with Solace message streams and design topic, multicast, subscription, direct, and guaranteed messaging patterns.
- Deploy and maintain ITRS Geneos and Corvil monitoring for latency, throughput, queue depth, and network analytics.
- Manage connectivity to external FX and Fixed Income trading venues, including multicast routing and firewall coordination.
- Architect data pipelines from Solace streams to backend analytics databases for trade persistence, flow analysis, and reconstruction.
- Troubleshoot production messaging bottlenecks and data-loss incidents during active market hours.
- Automate operational tasks using Python, Shell, and SQL and participate in global on-call and weekend change-management rotations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience supporting high-performance technical platforms or core infrastructure in capital markets or electronic trading.
- Expert-level Solace PubSub+ experience, including direct and guaranteed messaging, VPN configuration, bridges, SEMP API, and Dynamic Message Routing.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and low-latency networking experience, including multicast messaging, tcpdump, Wireshark, and OS-level data-loss diagnosis.
- Understanding of FX and Fixed Income pre-trade workflows, pricing engines, Request for Quote, order management, and FIX, JSON, and Protobuf formats.
- Practical experience configuring ITRS Geneos and using Corvil network analytics.
- Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting and solid SQL database skills.
- Solace Certified Administrator or Solace Certified Developer certification is desirable.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink, and ITIL change-management frameworks is desirable.
- Ability to support out-of-hours on-call rotations, occasional international travel, and high-pressure production incidents.
