Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Develop a scalable YouTube dubbing experience using state-of-the-art technology such as Gemini and Omni.
- Prototype and bring research solutions into production in collaboration with Google DeepMind and YouTube Infrastructure teams.
- Design and develop services that support user-facing traffic.
- Establish evaluation frameworks, including AutoRaters, to measure and iterate on product performance.
- Participate in design and code reviews covering coding standards, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience in C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- At least 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure, including areas such as model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging.
- Experience prototyping and shipping ML products.
- Experience designing and developing services catering to user-facing traffic.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with applied ML and scaling the product.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Knowledge of or interest in video accessibility, including dubbing, captions, and translations.

- US base pay is $147000-$210000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
