Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using KDB+/q.
- Build and optimize high-performance time-series databases and analytics platforms.
- Develop data ingestion, transformation, and publishing frameworks for real-time and historical market data.
- Perform performance tuning for q queries, tables, data pipelines, and low-latency storage and retrieval.
- Support trade, order, quote, pricing, risk, and market-data analytics use cases.
- Troubleshoot production issues, data breaks, and incidents while managing upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Collaborate with trading, risk, operations, QA, and technology teams.
- Contribute to automation, monitoring, stability improvements, code reviews, testing, releases, and production support.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Strong hands-on experience with KDB+/q programming and time-series, tick, and market-data processing.
- Experience in capital markets or investment banking, with knowledge of real-time ingestion, data storage, and query optimization.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and strong knowledge of data structures, performance tuning, and memory management.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and work under time-sensitive conditions.
- Preferred experience includes equities, FX, fixed income, rates, credit, commodities, derivatives, low-latency or electronic trading systems, Java, Python, C++, Kafka, Solace, MQ, cloud platforms, Git, Jenkins, monitoring, alerting, and production-support automation.
