Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems and core services.
- Drive architectural decisions, technical vision, and shared engineering standards across multiple teams.
- Lead large, ambiguous, and cross-functional technical initiatives from architecture through delivery.
- Improve developer productivity through automation, build systems, configuration management, test infrastructure, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Perform performance optimization, debugging, profiling, risk management, and tradeoff analysis.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering best practices through code reviews.
- Improve platform reliability, organizational scalability, technical decision-making, and delivery effectiveness.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Proven full-stack expertise delivering high-quality backend and frontend solutions.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, AWS, Next.js, Node.js, C#/.NET, Go, and Postgres, or ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Experience with scalable system design, distributed systems, APIs, databases, data modeling, testing, deployment pipelines, monitoring, observability, and release management.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
- Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, parallelism, asynchronous programming, networking, and system design.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across teams and lead architectural initiatives in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
- Strong record of mentoring engineers, scaling engineering practices, and improving technical decision-making.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, constructive debate, and feedback skills.
- Prior fintech, lending, or consumer financial product experience is preferred but not required.
