Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the design, development, implementation, modernization, and support of enterprise applications.
- Lead development of scalable, secure, highly available full-stack applications, microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven services, and distributed applications.
- Define technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, security, engineering standards, and business objectives.
- Review technical designs, application architecture, source code, and implementation approaches.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on software engineering practices.
- Coordinate with architects, product owners, business analysts, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and other technology teams.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues, performance problems, defects, and integration challenges.
- Drive automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, deployment automation, infrastructure automation, and observability practices.
- Coordinate technical dependencies and delivery across multiple development teams.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies while communicating architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering and enterprise application development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience providing technical leadership for software development teams or complex technology initiatives.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, plus strong experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with Git, automated testing, quality engineering practices, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Docker and Kubernetes; Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ; and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Preferred experience includes Spring Cloud, Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, API Gateway technologies, TypeScript, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Google Cloud Bigtable, Redis, and application monitoring tools.
- Preferred experience includes legacy application modernization, mainframe migration, performance tuning, disaster recovery, regulated enterprise environments, and mentoring engineers.
