Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications using Java and modern software engineering practices.
- Architect scalable automation frameworks and reusable libraries, utilities, services, and framework components.
- Drive application engineering and quality engineering initiatives across multiple enterprise platforms.
- Lead automation across UI, API, backend, database, integration, and end-to-end testing layers.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Maven, Artifactory, and related toolchains.
- Build automated validation for continuous integration, deployment verification, release certification, and production readiness.
- Design API automation solutions for REST and SOAP services.
- Develop database validation and automation solutions using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and data reconciliation techniques.
- Support database release management and schema versioning using Liquibase.
- Lead performance engineering initiatives using JMeter and related technologies.
- Develop engineering and test-automation utilities using Java, SQL, and Unix Shell scripting.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve delivery efficiency and productivity.
- Mentor software and automation engineers and establish coding standards, design patterns, framework governance, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.
- Support Agile delivery activities including design reviews, sprint planning, technical estimation, backlog refinement, and release planning.
- Drive improvements in code quality, automation coverage, application stability, performance, and developer experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and programming software applications.
- Advanced knowledge of application programming, system flow, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Subject Matter Expert in at least one area of Applications Development.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Experience with Java and enterprise application development.
- Experience with Java-Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber BDD, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Experience with TypeScript, API automation, CI/CD integration, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, and Artifactory.
- Experience designing REST and SOAP API automation solutions.
- Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, database validation, and data reconciliation.
- Experience with Liquibase, JMeter, SQL, and Unix Shell scripting.
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; master’s degree preferred.
