Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and automate large-scale distributed systems.
- Build tools and automation to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to deliver high-quality software and improve availability and MTTD.
- Monitor production and development environments and develop preventive measures for a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in an on-call rotation consisting of an 8-hour shift, 7 days a week, every 3 to 4 weeks.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of public cloud experience with GCP or AWS.
- At least 7 years of private cloud experience with OpenStack or VMware ESXi.
- At least 7 years of Linux experience with CentOS or Ubuntu.
- At least 7 years of networking experience.
- Experience managing containers with Kubernetes, Helm, GKE, and Docker.
- Experience with GitLab, Argo CD, and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with Terraform, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
- Experience with Prometheus, Loki, Alertmanager, and Grafana observability tools.
- Experience with incident management, SRE best practices, continuous improvement, and large-scale distributed systems design.
- Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps best practices, plus strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
