Base Salary

$156k - $186k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and evolve FPGA and GPU build flows, test environments, and delivery and integration pipelines to produce reproducible, reliable, and fast lab-ready artifacts.
  • Own synthesis, simulation, cross-compilation, and containerized toolchain environments and keep them current, documented, and consistent.
  • Reduce mission-to-mission variation and promote reusable shared components across a growing portfolio of missions.
  • Align delivery methods and planning methods as the team and mission portfolio grow.
  • Own the team roadmap in Jira and provide accurate dashboards, snapshot reporting, progress tracking, priority visibility, and resource utilization reporting.
  • Partner with technical leads and engineers to estimate incoming mission work and requests from other teams.
  • Establish planning-accuracy metrics and improve estimation quality.
  • Publish weekly reports covering team health, successes, risks, opportunities, blockers, and highlights for internal and cross-company audiences.
  • Serve as the source of truth for status, progress, and Jira reporting for the Onboard Compute organization.
  • Own the team’s Confluence space and support engineers in contributing accurate content.
  • Partner with engineering managers to maintain onboarding, training, tooling, build-flow, and platform documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least three years of professional engineering experience.
  • Hands-on development experience with FPGA and/or GPU workflows, including synthesis or compilation toolchains, simulation or profiling environments, and build or release pipelines.
  • Experience owning or significantly contributing to build systems, test environments, and integration pipelines for embedded or hardware-adjacent codebases.
  • Experience managing variation and complexity across multiple products, missions, or configurations through shared components, reference flows, or platform contracts.
  • Ability to script automation for toolchains, pipeline orchestration, and report generation.
  • Fluency with Jira, including epics, stories, dashboards, JQL, and reporting, as well as Confluence.
  • Ability to lead estimation and planning discussions and translate technical work into roadmaps and reports for non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with FPGA build flows such as Vivado or Quartus and/or GPU cross-compilation for embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson or NVIDIA IGX is preferred.
  • Experience with shared platforms, product lines, reference designs, hardware-in-the-loop test automation, lab-bench regression infrastructure, containerization, development pipeline tooling, or mission-critical engineering environments is preferred.
