Base Salary
$173k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, test, and operate resilient distributed systems for Edge Control Plane and Edge Intelligence services.
- Build services that automate Edge enablement and provide real-time analytics for self-healing and self-optimizing infrastructure.
- Balance live-site management, feature delivery, technical-debt retirement, and regular delivery of thin slices of functionality.
- Resolve complex technical issues and improve system availability, resilience, performance, and operational excellence.
- Own and operate mission-critical infrastructure services, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting applications.
- Create, maintain, and share technical documentation with engineers and other team members.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.
- Solid knowledge of database technologies, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
- Experience with Agile development methodology, testing, telemetry, and metrics-driven operations.
- Experience engineering on public cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, Alibaba, and/or Azure.
- Experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helios, Fleet, or Mesos.
- Preferred: open-source project experience, SOAP/REST APIs and API design, network technologies, Spark, Kafka, Druid, and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS termination, and HTTP proxies.
