Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, high-performance backend systems using a platform-driven approach.
- Design, deliver, and maintain scalable payment solutions for Grab’s Payments SDK.
- Mentor software engineers and promote innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with teams on technical strategies and feature specifications.
- Make high-level design decisions and establish software engineering standards.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and efficiency across the product ecosystem.
- Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews.
- Partner with DevOps teams to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
- Stay current with technologies and industry trends to lead innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years designing and building scalable systems.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking.
- Proficiency in Golang.
- Extensive backend systems experience, including databases, caching, NoSQL, and application servers.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated leadership in technical decision-making and defining engineering standards.
