Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems and services for the AWS Lambda data plane.
- Build low-latency, highly available, secure, observable, and scalable serverless technology handling massive traffic.
- Develop loosely coupled gRPC-based microservices and customer-focused APIs.
- Evaluate engineering alternatives with customer experience and operational sustainability in mind.
- Improve software quality by addressing flaky tests and participating in coding standards, code reviews, testing, and operations.
- Collaborate with the team to grow the Lambda service tenfold.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
