Responsibilities
- Define and drive enterprise engineering strategy, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps.
- Architect enterprise-grade solutions for merchant onboarding, servicing, and unsecured lending products.
- Lead end-to-end technology solution delivery, architecture decisions, code reviews, proofs of concept, and day-to-day guidance for development teams.
- Drive platform consolidation, legacy data platform transformation, cloud-native modernization, and migration initiatives.
- Collaborate with product, program, scrum, production support, and reliability engineering teams to align delivery with business goals and improve platform stability.
- Mentor senior engineers, technical leads, and solution architects while promoting engineering excellence and continuous learning.
- Advise leadership on innovative business solutions, industry practices, technology opportunities, and strategic engineering decisions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with Java and related technologies, including Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise application development.
- Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, REST APIs, resource-oriented architecture, and microservices architecture.
- 7+ years of experience with React, Node, or similar user interface technologies.
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise software design patterns, micro-frontend architecture, MongoDB data modeling, relational database design, SQL development, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Kafka or RabbitMQ, AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, Ansible, shell scripting, infrastructure automation, and application deployment on Tomcat, JBoss, or WebSphere.
- Experience with AI tools and technologies, enterprise data engineering and analytics platforms, and AI-driven automation or intelligent workflows.
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture, J2EE design patterns, enterprise application design, Agile environments, and financial services or large-scale enterprise technology environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
