Responsibilities
- Define user requirements and success criteria with product managers, designers, engineers, and partner-facing stakeholders.
- Contribute to architecture, API contracts, dependency identification, and design documentation with limited oversight.
- Build secure, accessible, and maintainable React and TypeScript frontends, Python or .NET backend services, data ingestion workflows, and Azure infrastructure.
- Break larger initiatives into scoped work items, provide estimates, identify risks, conduct code reviews, and deliver incremental value through automated testing.
- Build AI-powered experiences using retrieval-augmented generation, grounding, evaluation, agents, and tools while protecting customer and partner data.
- Participate as a Designated Responsible Individual in an on-call rotation, using telemetry to identify degradation and coordinate routine incident restoration.
- Improve product availability, reliability, security, efficiency, observability, and performance at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience designing, implementing, testing, or operating web applications, APIs, cloud services, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with source control, code review, automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, and infrastructure as code.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and progress.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree with 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or master's degree with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience delivering end-to-end applications with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, C#, .NET, or ASP.NET Core.
- Preferred: experience building LLM-powered applications with LLM API integration, retrieval-augmented generation, agent and tool design, evaluation, and Model Context Protocol.
- Preferred: experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, Azure DevOps pipelines, ARM or Bicep, automated unit and end-to-end testing, and observability using logs, metrics, traces, or OpenTelemetry.
