Responsibilities
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for software features, including integration, regression, functional, exploratory, performance, and load testing.
- Partner with business systems analysts and developers to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, identify gaps, and assess system impacts.
- Create and maintain automated tests, test cases, test data, and data-testing scenarios across system layers and user journeys.
- Validate outputs across user interfaces, web services, files, and databases.
- Review team testing outputs, maintain quality standards, facilitate knowledge transfer, and champion improved testing practices.
- Provide testing estimates, demonstrate functionality to product owners and teams, communicate test results, and drive resolution of risks and impediments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- Five or more years of experience in a QA/testing technical role.
- Proven experience testing software development in a structured environment and managing defect lifecycles.
- Strong understanding of test levels, testing strategy, test frameworks, automated functional test scripting, and basic programming constructs.
- Experience with API and microservices testing, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, and smoke testing.
- Understanding of system architecture components such as application servers, databases, and web services.
- Ability to collaborate with development, business analysis, project management, subject matter expert, and other teams.
- Preferred experience working in an AWS environment and creating test cases using GitHub Copilot.
- Accessibility and security testing experience is a value-add.
