Base Salary
$106k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js and Vue.js.
- Build, optimize, and enhance RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
- Create responsive, high-performance Vue.js user interfaces.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL queries and data schemas and integrate NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB.
- Lead automated testing efforts using Playwright and modern unit-testing frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and system defects.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor developers, lead code reviews, and promote modern development practices.
- Collaborate with architects, managers, analysts, and project stakeholders to define requirements and deliver software solutions.
- Support continuous integration, deployment, configuration, and maintenance across development, testing, and production environments.
- Enforce CI/CD and security guidelines while improving development practices and customer experiences.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience, or at least 5 years with a master's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven expertise building backend applications and microservices with Node.js.
- Strong hands-on experience building modern Vue.js single-page applications.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful web services.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and automated testing frameworks including Playwright.
- Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, asynchronous programming, and modern web application architecture.
- Hands-on proficiency with Git version control and collaborative git-flow processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leveraging AI coding assistants while maintaining code quality and security standards.
- Preferred: Microsoft Azure, serverless architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, Java, MongoDB, web application security, OAuth/JWT authentication, and enterprise access governance.
- Candidates must be eligible to successfully complete and maintain a GSA suitability clearance; preference is given to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
