Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly available, high-scale distributed platform services for Phone Numbers and KYC workflows.
- Contribute to the architecture and long-term roadmap for a globally distributed Phone Numbers Platform.
- Build robust public-facing APIs, microservices, and operational tooling for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Use AI coding assistants and LLM-based tools for code generation, testing, debugging, and prototyping.
- Make architectural decisions balancing feature delivery, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Partner with Product Managers to translate telecommunications regulations and customer needs into developer-focused APIs and workflows.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote technical ownership and continuous learning.
- Identify technical risks, lead production incident response, and drive long-term remediation.
- Write technical designs, RFCs, and documentation explaining system trade-offs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing highly available, high-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java or Python and solid knowledge of AWS, including Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, and Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, microservices patterns, and resilient systems.
- Practical experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor for software delivery.
- Experience building and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs with strong developer experience.
- Experience with high-throughput data processing and storage technologies including SQL, NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Spark.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Ability to influence technical decisions through communication and technical credibility.
- Preferred experience building internal platforms for developer teams.
- Preferred experience building or integrating AI agents into developer platforms or automated operations workflows.
