Base Salary
$137k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and integration of complex firmware and security solutions.
- Architect and implement secure firmware features across embedded and platform environments.
- Drive technical direction and provide leadership for cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Review system designs, code, and validation strategies for security, quality, and reliability compliance.
- Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams on secure, scalable platform solutions.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies for integration into future product designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Develop and execute test plans, debug complex issues, and create validation tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software, firmware, or embedded-systems development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++; Python, Rust, Bash, or Shell scripting experience is a plus.
- Extensive experience with embedded-system development and debugging.
- Strong understanding of firmware architecture, hardware-based security technologies, and cryptographic algorithms.
- Experience with Trusted Platform Module technologies and Trusted Computing Group standards.
- Preferred experience with Secure Boot architectures, UEFI, U-Boot, hardware security modules, hardware root of trust, cryptographic systems, key management, digital signatures, Post-Quantum Cryptography algorithms, and secure platform architecture.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
