Base Salary
$180k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production AI voice applications with enterprise customers.
- Integrate Retell APIs and SDKs into customer products and develop custom workflows, automations, and conversational AI experiences.
- Debug production issues involving APIs, webhooks, telephony, SIP, authentication, latency, and infrastructure.
- Investigate AI behavior and improve prompt quality, reliability, and performance.
- Own technical implementations from proof of concept through production launch.
- Lead technical onboarding and serve as the primary technical advisor for enterprise customers.
- Advise customers on AI best practices, architecture, and deployment strategies.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to convert customer feedback and recurring pain points into scalable product improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of software engineering or customer-facing technical experience building and deploying production applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Experience working with APIs, SDKs, and distributed systems.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and technical customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work standard U.S. business hours with overlap for the Pacific Time team and enterprise customers.
- Preferred experience includes AI or LLM-powered applications, Voice AI, speech or conversational AI, cloud infrastructure, telephony, SIP, Twilio, real-time communications, startup environments, customer-facing engineering, solutions engineering, or consulting.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for customer workshops, launches, and onsite engagements.
