Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, low-latency systems using C/C++ on Unix/Linux.
- Own end-to-end architecture for scalable, resilient components and services.
- Lead design, development, testing, deployment, build automation, and delivery activities.
- Perform performance tuning, memory optimization, multithreading, concurrency, and reliability improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate with product, QA, operations, and geographically distributed engineering teams.
- Provide technical direction, mentor developers, conduct technical interviews, and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience with payment-cycle cryptography, session key derivation and validation, Triple DES, AES, and ARQC/ARPC concepts.
- Strong understanding of Thales or equivalent payment validation HSM modules and commands.
- Expertise in C and C++, Unix/Linux systems, shell scripting, system internals, multithreading, concurrency, memory management, socket programming, and IPC.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, distributed systems, and high-scale enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Make, CMake, gdb, Google Test (gtest), profiling tools, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and Copilot with MCP servers.
- Experience with unit, integration, and system testing, Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, payment or financial systems, and security standards including OWASP.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Java or Python is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, decision-making, and technical trade-off skills, with the ability to lead under ambiguity.
