Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the FastAPI backend for the threat-modeling pipeline.
- Extend the STRIDE-AI engine with repository ingestion, C4 reconstruction, data-flow extraction, STRIDE agents, deduplication, and scoring.
- Design asynchronous and concurrent LLM orchestration with retries, rate limiting, and structured JSON output.
- Model domain data with Pydantic v2 and SQLModel/SQLite while evolving schemas safely.
- Develop prompts and agents that produce verifiable, evidence-backed findings.
- Maintain high test coverage using pytest and pytest-asyncio.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, make technical decisions, and provide solutions across teams.
- Lead process improvements, mentor junior team members, and support team performance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Python.
- At least 3 years of backend development experience with Python 3.11+.
- Strong proficiency with FastAPI, Pydantic v2, and asynchronous Python.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as Anthropic and/or OpenAI, including structured output and prompt design.
- Knowledge of application security, including STRIDE, authentication, authorization, and common vulnerability classes.
- Experience with modern software frameworks and tools for scalable applications.
- Understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, system architecture, and integration concepts.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient, modular code and apply debugging, testing, and performance optimization practices.
- Experience with embeddings and vector search, such as sentence-transformers and ChromaDB.
- C4 modeling or threat-modeling experience.
- Exposure to uv, Docker, cloud deployment, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- 15 years of full-time education.
